Where do the oysters come from?
From named British producers on a monthly rotating calendar. September's box features Colchester Natives from the Blackwater Estuary in Essex and Loch Ryan Natives from south-west Scotland. October features Duchy of Cornwall Rock oysters from Port Navas Creek and a second producer to be named. Every producer profile is published at oystr.farm.
Who packs and ships them?
Wright Brothers Home. They already run cold-chain shipping for oysters at scale, and they source directly from producers. OYSTR curates the boxes and the editorial; Wright Brothers handles the pack and ship. The box arrives in standard Wright Brothers branding with a Bed Notes PDF sent to your inbox on the morning of delivery.
What if my box arrives with dead or broken oysters?
Send a photo within twenty-four hours to hello@oystr.farm and we will refund or reship. Zero questions asked. Wright Brothers' quality standards are already high; the incident rate on their D2C shipments is well under one percent.
Can I skip a month?
Yes. Skip or pause from the app or by emailing hello@oystr.farm. Cancel anytime with no penalty.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Not in Y1. UK mainland only for now. International routing depends on customs, cold chain, and volume. If that changes we will email founding subscribers first.
Why £54?
Twenty-four oysters at Wright Brothers Home retail equivalents is roughly £47-54 landed. Same oysters, at a small OYSTR margin, with proper editorial context and mission commitment. The founding rate of £45 is offered to the first fifty subscribers as thanks for backing the pilot.
When exactly does it launch?
First boxes ship the last Friday of October 2026, tied to the opening of the British native oyster season. Waitlist emails go out two weeks before with instructions on how to convert to a founding subscription.
